I would use the word disappointment instead of hatred; and not a complete disappointment actually since they had some good features in them. I couldn’t agree more when it comes to FFXI; it’s not an actual Final Fantasy, and Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles is a horrible mistake. I like FFX; especially its storyline; exactly the way you described it. As for FFXII… it feels to me like the first draft of a book; which the writer released it incomplete with all its errors and mistakes. FFXII needs some serious improvement.

My rant for FFXII will be in the thread anyway for me the hardest part of FFIX was going through Memoria with vastly underdeveloped characters x_x I ended up having to restart the game because I wasn't strong enough to build anywhere in the game...but I learned my lesson and now I properly build.

Well, there is a Japanese version of a remade FFXII with what seem to be Job Systems. I heard it first from a friend who seems to have the pirated (downloaded) version, but I have yet to try it out. I do want to see if it is improved.

As Tifa did, I also have my own complete satirical review of actual facts about what the game lacks. You can find it around Tifa's thread, since most of what Tifa said was already included in that same review, therefore, me and her share the same opinions.

I've never heard of this before, it is possibly right, but I don't think there would be that much of improvement, basing my opinion on the period of time; I don't think they spend a quality of time improving it. Anyways; the good thing about this, if it's actually true; is that they realized the fact that they made some errors and mistakes... which is good.

I fought Hades the other day and lost, Doomsday owned me, too strong for a 46 party.

Necron however was different, took me like 20 minutes because I was reviving chars most of the time but finally won xD

And Ozma... Well, maybe if I say that I dealt him a total of 25 damage it would resume things right?

mm first time i played the game (2 years ago) i found everyting hard...maybe it was because i was too lazy to lvl up =D....but then i played it again...i leveled and leveled, i got the best weapons, magics etc...and i defeteaded hades..i actually found it pretty easy, he didnt deal much damage, so it wasnt difficult....but after that, when i thought i was invincible i went and faced ozma...but i lost =(...so i think thats the hardest part in ff9 =D...defeating ozma xD

On my only game (I´m through a new one these days) I beat Hades at my first try with a level 48 party. Had some problems with Necron, and after doing a couple sidequests I went for Ozma. He owned me XD

Left that game at level 53, didn´t want to level up. I think it´s possible to kill it though, I could get some serious damage done to it before I died.

As for the game´s hardest part: Probably Gizamaluke's Grotto on my first game, mostly when I faced the boss at level 6 XD
I had to go and get some levels, then defeated him, but still gave a good fight.
Another tough place could be Memoria, since I got at the mid-40 levels and random fights were quite tough :P
