Conventional television is slowly but surely being replaced with on-demand streaming services. Many people, especially ones with uncapped internet prefer streaming content from the internet since it’s much more affordable and because they have more options and control over the content that they utilize.
When it comes to streaming services, you have many different options. One of the most popular ones makes use of Amazon Fire TV. Let’s take a look at Amazon Fire TV, what it is, and how you can benefit from it.
Streaming Media Player
By using the Amazon Fire TV, you can stream certain videos and music and play it on your tv. You can also use online apps with your tv. The Amazon Fire TV offers you two choices. Firstly, the Fire TV Box that supports 4K Ultra HD and HDR video, and the Fire TV Stick for 1080p video streaming.
Installing the Fire TV Box and the Fire TV Stick is easy and they work in the same way. The Fire TV Box has an attached HDMI cable where the Fire TV Stick is fitted with an HDMI port. Simply plug them into your tv’s HDMI port and use the included remote to connect to your wi-fi and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
Difference Between the Fire TV Box and the Fire TV Stick
Although both the box and stick model supports 1080p HD resolution streaming, the Fire TV Box also supports 4K Ultra HD and HDR Video. This means that if you want more memory and better sound quality, the Amazon TV Box will be the better option for you.
The box is connected to your tv via an HDMI port where the Amazon Fire Stick connects directly. The box gets its power from an A/C adapter and the stick is powered by a USB cable that you can connect to either your tv or wall outlet with a USB adapter.
As you may have guessed, Amazon Fire TV is highly congruent with Amazon’s own video streaming service. This does not mean, however, that you are limited to what Amazon has to offer. You can also subscribe to other popular streaming services like Netflix, HBO, Sling TV, ESPN, and more. As a rule, you can’t simply plug in and install your Amazon Fire TV and start watching shows. You need an account with at least one of these on-demand streaming services. Some of these services are paid, while others are free.
There are also other options available to you if you’d like to get unlimited free content. Installing Kodi on Fire TV will allow you access to add-ons that you can use to watch thousands of movies, tv shows, live channels, sports, and documentaries. This installation takes very little time and is relatively easy. If you have an Amazon Fire TV, this may definitely be something to consider.
Amazon’s Fire TV support an entire range of music and audio apps. Amazon Music is the obvious one, but you can also subscribe to Pandora, iHeart Radio, Sirius XM, and Spotify. These services provide you with tons of options and customization so you can stream playlists that compliments your taste or captures the mood of your event.
Both the Amazon Fire TV Box and the Fire TV Stick include Amazon’s artificial intelligence software. This means that you can get news and weather updates, sports news, and search functions on your tv. You can also pair your Fire TV Box or Fire TV Stick with your Amazon Echo to enable voice commands. All of these features make Amazon Fire TV a viable alternative to cable or satellite Tv subscriptions. If you are considering a shift, the Fire TV may definitely be worth your while.
