The 2015 Honda CRV comes with a new engine with 11 percent more torque and mpg improvement on highways as well as in the city. The SUV has roomy and practical interior.
It is reported the car may compete with small and midsize five-passenger SUVs such as Ford Escape, Chevrolet Equinox, Jeep Cherokee, Hyundai Santa Fe Sport, Nissan Rogue, Kia Sportage and Toyota RAV4 as well.
The new model is sure to make Honda a strong competitor as for past 17 years the SUV has been competitive in the auto industry.
Honda has priced tagged the 2015 CR-V competitively. It starts at $23,445 for a base front-wheel drive model and the AWD starts at $24,695.
The new SUV comes with a 185 horsepower 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) as well. It features pre-collision alert and braking, Bluetooth phone and audio compatibility, lane keeping assist, AM/FM/Sirius radio, USB port, CD player and 18-inch tires.
Engine and transmission of the CRV offers competent acceleration in the city and also on the highway. It is said the CVT offers best ratio when accelerated suddenly from 40 to 50 mph. The Eco mode feature on it helps in saving fuel as the engine of it runs at very low rpm to maximize the fuel economy.
