Even though the latest gaming console of Microsoft has outsold rival PlayStation 4 for November and December last year in the US, but Xbox boss Phil Spencer said there is still more work to do.
The top boss took to Twitter to thank fans for the grand success of Xbox One and said it was a good holiday. He thanked everyone for their support in making the console best selling.
Spencer wrote, “Most important thing was Xbox fans sticking with us, they kept believing.”
However, a fan sang a different tune and said even though Xbox One outsold PlayStation 4 in the last two months of 2014 but in reality the Sony’s console was top-selling for the entire year.
The Microsoft boss replied to the fan in a positive way saying Sony’s PlayStation 4 too is doing very well and this is a good aspect for the gaming industry. The sales of console as well as game are strong now.
Last year in November Microsoft said the sales figure of their new Xbox One is reaching 10 million units. However, no data has been revealed since then. Next week Microsoft may reveal it while announcing its latest earnings. The event is scheduled on January 26.
