Yes, it is often regarded to be a reflection of our society, and supposed to be a form of art that not only expresses our daily struggles, but also highlights the importance that we, as humans, have in this planet. 1. The movie should have believable characters, or for that matter, if it is based upon fiction, then it needs to at least contain a wonderful storyline. Otherwise, people would not be able to relate to the movie, and at the end of the day, the movie would not be able to generate a buzz that would enable it to sell a lot of tickets.
2. The movie should have emotions, the basic human struggle, as well as the amount of quality actors that can actually pull off any scene without any unease. Having good actors is always an integral part of the movie, something which should be noted by any aspiring film director. Without good actors, creating a movie, and helping people come to the movie theaters in order to watch it would prove to be a very big problem for you.
3. The movie should be awe-inspiring, or at least educational. Yes, by educational, one does not mean watching a documentary. However, the movie should have stories or a basic storyline that is thought-provoking, thereby ensuring that the people can actually take back a lot of positive things from the movie itself.
4. It should be a justified reflection of our society. However strong the language used in the movie may be, it should be a justified scrutiny of our society, and how we have either been able to progress or go downhill in our advent to make our lives better. This will not only help us to understand our faults, but also ensure that we can correct the people that do not display the right kind of enthusiasm for life.
5. Lastly, the direction of the film need to be excellent, the edits will need to be justified, just so that the people to not get bored.
