Amazon is starting these two services for professionals. Its service is dubbed as WorkMail and the retail giant says it will compete with Google’s Apps and Microsoft’s Outlook for Work to make it daily point of contact with its customers.

The service will be built by its technical team who handles the Amazon Web Services cloud-computing segment. With this service the retail giant will also be offering e file-storage service to its customers. This service is named as Zocalo.

It is estimated the cloud-based email services market across the world was worth $6.3 billion in 2014 and by 2018 it will increase to $16.9. The report comes from market reserach firm Radicati Group Inc.

Amazon vice president Peter De Santis said in a press statement, “Customers have repeatedly asked us for a business e-mail and calendaring service.”

Amazon also meanwhile claims around one million of its customers use its cloud services.
