How To Get To The Channel Islands

There are also links to France and Geneva.

These routes into the Channel Islands are provided by Condor Ferries and the airlines Flybe, Blue Islands and Aurigny. In order to reach the smaller islands of Sark and Herm, regular boats depart Guernsey throughout the day in the visitor season.

What To Do in Guernsey, Channel Islands

Guernsey, the second largest of the Channel Islands, also has much to offer the whole family and in its bailiwick, the smaller islands of Sark and Herm, are well worth a visit. Herm has beautiful, sandy beaches, no cars and is idyllic for families with children and perfect for a day-trip, or a longer stay. Sark is also car-free and is a great place to hire bikes or even go by horse and cart to explore the whole island.

In Guernsey, there are a wide variety of water-sports on offer, including a Surf School at Vazon bay and windsurfing lessons. The Oatlands Centre, in the north of the island, is an ideal place for families with children as there are outdoor trampolines, indoor jungle gym, outdoor car/bike race track, miniature dolls house museum and a 14-hole miniature golf course.

Each of the Channel Islands has its own unique appeal, therefore, it is a good idea to make use of the fast, regular sailings between Jersey, Guernsey, Herm and Sark, in order to experience all each has to offer. There are so many different family-friendly activities on offer, that one will certainly be spoilt for choice.
