Ford India had unveiled the Figo sedan in the 2014 Delhi Motor Show. Now, it is getting ready for its global launch. Once the car hits the Indian roads, it will mark the entry of the auto major into the highly lucrative sub-four-meter segment of the Indian passenger car industry. The compact sedan segment of Indian car industry is currently one of the most competitive segments in the country. It is ruled by the likes of Honda Amaze and Maruti Swift DZire. The other popular cars in the segment include Hyundai Xcent and Tata Zest. Now, with Ford Figo Aspire all set to join the bandwagon, the customers are in for a treat.

Price – Figo Aspire is expected to carry a price tag ranging between 5.6 lakh and 8 lakh rupees. Although the rate cannot be termed as cheap, it is quite affordable. As such, it would be preferred by many.

Design and Style – The Figo Aspire would be carrying the global design language of Ford. Accordingly, the Aspire would be adorned in the now familiar trapezoidal grille, blacked out headlights and other bold elements in its style. Some are of the opinion that the front fascia of the Aspire looks like Aston Martin.

Interiors – On the inside, the car is loaded with features like satellite navigation, an updated infotainment system and the new SYNC technology, all of which are offered as standard across the trims. Ford claims that the Aspire will offer some segment-first safety features and class-leading interior space as well.

Engine – The same set of engines on duty under the hood of EcoSport will power the Aspire too. Accordingly, the petrol engine would be a 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine and the diesel mill would be a 1.5-liter unit. The standard variants will have a five-speed manual gearbox attached while the automatic will feature a five-speed automatic transmission.
