Online video games - Did you know that there are games that are only one level long? What would you expect these games to be like? Short? Easy? Well, that’s certainly not the case with Casus. Action game review: Kirby’s Epic Yarn Wii

Gaming
Kirby's Epic Yarn is the first real Kirby game since the N64 title, Kirby64: The Crystal Shards. Developed by Good-feel and Hal Laboratory and released by Nintendo for the Wii in November, 2010, Kirby has made a grandiose reappearance that reminds gamers why they fell in love with the little pink puffball in the first place. To put it simply, the game is very, very easy, but the overall journey is cute, fun to play, and has some truly amazing vista's to behold. Off to Patch Land The first thing to get out of the way is the story. Kirby games aren't known for deep story's and this is no exception, but it is at least cute and does the job of setting up the gameplay. Kirby is drawn into a Patch Land, a world made of yarn and different patches, where he finds himself made of yarn. Th...

Old 90s games: Classic Star Wars games

Gaming
Old 90s games - The Star Wars film series has had video game spin-offs nearly since its inception. The first crude adaptation was Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back for the Atari 2600 back in 1982. But the best classic Star Wars video games didn't arrive until the 1990s, when LucasArts would pioneer platform, simulation, and arcade-style titles for the franchise. As technology improved, these types of gameplay would merge in the Star Wars video games of the 2000s. Star Wars Video Games for Classic Consoles The early 1990s, the old 90s games, saw a boom in the development of Star Wars video games, coinciding with the beginning of the Star Wars expanded universe. New Star Wars platform games, based on the original trilogy, were licensed for the major systems of the era, includin...

Rise and fall of WCW (1996-2001)

To document why WCW turned it's fortunes around in such a dramatic way in the late nineties one cannot ignore the re-packaging of one of the most traditional of wrestling good guys, Sting. The Birth Of The Icon, Sting Throughout that fairly dull early 1990s period of WCW Sting had been a bleach blond babyface who, although a credible performer, somewhat embodied the blandness at the time. As WCW became diseased with NWO poison, Sting sloped into the shadows and became a recluse. He changed his image, grew his hair, wore a black trench coat and sported eerie black and white make up, an obvious homage to Brandon Lee’s The Crow which had been released a few years earlier. That in itself shocked the audience, they could not understand what had happened to their dependable hero. But th...
