Work with what you have.

We all have furniture in our homes that is basic, but it doesn’t have to be. All that you need to do is accessorize- just as you would do if you were going out. I must admit, the items that you use will be far different, for example, a faux fur throw over a chair or sofa can make a huge impact. By simply draping this over a practical chair you can create an arty, plush vibe.

Recycled bottles.

Not only can this look really cool, cost no money at all and is good for the environment but it is fun to do, also! Any empty glass bottle will work for this, there aren’t any specifics. You can paint the bottle any colour and decorate it however you please. Many people have added extra things for inside like fairy lights, but it all depends on your preference.

DIY curtains.

Do you want to make a room feel cozy and intimate? By buying only a set of numerous hooks and enough material you can make your own artsy curtains. Simply cut the material to size and hang the hooks you could even use a cool coat hook rack and redesign it (it depends what style you are going for). With your material sew on equally sized loops, equally spaced and simply hang the loops over the hooks! – Voila!

A feature wall.

If you are after a bold noticeable redesign, a feature wall is a great way to do this. It brings attention to the wall and is generally best to be behind your focal piece of furniture. You can do this with paint, wallpaper or even acrylic sheets; these are great- they’re waterproof, warm to touch, create a contemporary vibe. Develop your doors.

You would be surprised how much of a difference it can make to your home when the doors are modified. Every time somebody walks in to a room it is the first thing they will see.
